Pupil Premium School Website Information 2012/13

The Pupil Premium is funding in addition to the school's budget. Schools are free to decide how to allocate this funding to best support the raising of attainment for the most vulnerable pupils. In 2012/13 the school received £21,000 in Pupil Premium allocations. In 2013/14 this will be £33,300.

In 2012/13 the pupil premium was used in a variety of ways. These included:

  • Additional TA support to deliver personalised intervention programmes
  • Additional welfare staff for supervising the children at lunchtimes
  • Provision of extra-curricular activities for children both in and out of school
  • Provision of nurture groups

Examples of impact include:

  • 21 children in Years 1 and 2 have made increased reading progress through individualised teaching
  • Children have had structured and organised activities available during the lunchtime and instances of poor behaviour are far less frequent.
  • Attendance has risen by 2%
  • Pupil engagement in extra-curricular activities has increased
  • Fewer pupils are arriving late for school
  • The gap between progress of most vulnerable pupils and their peers has reduced

We plan to continue and develop these strategies during 2013/14
