Online Safety
Online safety is an integral part of children’s education in today’s digital world and thus is embedded in their learning at school. We also feel it is important to help our parents, carers and children improve their own understanding of the wide range of e-safety issues so they can learn to use the internet and all digital media in a safe and secure way regardless of the individual app or device.
Regular teaching of Online Safety is an important part of keeping children safe at St Charles’s RC Primary School. We have extensive security measures in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material.
Online Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online.
We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the Online Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents and carers speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
